Our Purpose

The Illinois Society for Respiratory Care (ISRC) was founded to educate, connect, and advance those interested in the field of respiratory care. We strive to:

  • Provide high-quality educational programs, meetings, and lectures.

  • Share resources through newsletters and other professional materials.

  • Promote the science, technology, ethics, and art of respiratory care.

We are also committed to fostering collaboration among respiratory care professionals, physicians, allied health providers, hospitals, industry partners, and agencies across Illinois—all working together to improve patient care and strengthen our profession.

Organizational Information

Organizational Information

The Illinois Society for Respiratory Care (ISRC) is guided by a dedicated team of volunteer leaders. Our Board of Directors is made up of elected officers and representatives from across the state, working together to advance the profession and support respiratory therapists.

Chapters

ISRC members belong to local chapters based on geographic regions. Currently, there are six active chapters, each providing opportunities for connection, education, and advocacy at the local level.
